Inpatient Clinical Resource Nurse - Child & Adolescent Psych

The IP Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) performs activities related to orientation, training and development of clinical staff. The CRN assists in planning, implementing and evaluation of clinical education activities/programs for clinical staff utilizing data and quality metrics to drive clinical outcomes as well as supports clinical student learning. The CRN provides support to the interdisciplinary team through the management of complex cases. The CRN will also learn and be involved in the group programming at CAP to give assist with education and training of the interdisciplinary team in these skills. This position will also assist with patient and family education.

Required Qualifications:
  • BSN - will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis
  • 2-3 years related experiences
  • Individual and group teaching experience
  • Experience in developing and evaluating training materials
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
  • Currently licensed as Registered Nurse and able to practice in the State of Wisconsin
  • Reads, writes and is fluent in the English language.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills to include: word processing, spreadsheets, power point creation, email, web browsers and electronic medical record
  • Ability to adapt and flex to dynamic clinical environments and to the needs of learners
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other key stakeholders
  • Consistently meets deadlines and department initiatives
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MSN
  • Inpatient Psychiatric Nursing Experience.
  • Electronic medical record experience
  • Experience working with the children and adolescents with mental illnesses.
  • Knowledge in adult learning styles
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic medical records for patient charting
  • Successful instructional training methods for clinical staff and providers
