Summer Intern, Sales & Marketing
Our comprehensive, 12-week paid internship program gives you the opportunity to test your skills working for the nation’s leading producer of cleaner fuels and developer of renewable chemicals. This internship will begin May 17, 2021 and end August 7, 2021. REG values our interns. Our hopes are to host you in person, but with the potential of being remote like we committed to in the summer of 2020.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to assist with group sales and marketing team in increasing awareness of REG and its products and services in order to increase product/service sales and to help the industry leading company achieve its goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Key Accountabilities:
Research and Market Analysis
- Conduct market research and analysis of key market segments and geographies related to REG
- Research and conduct market analysis of potential industries
- Conduct market analysis of current industry trends
- Conduct analysis of key competitor assets and activities
- Evaluate REG in product performance, market share, and brand perception in the marketplace
Sales Support Function
- Coordinate company meetings, and monthly sales meetings
- Assist in the development and implementation of REG’s sales and marketing activities
- Coordinate and attend marketing special events as needed
Other frequent duties:
- Develop and implement sales tools to increase effectiveness
Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree – Marketing, Management, or related degree
**Senior or Junior status required
Experience Required: Research and analysis or marketing experience
**Business environment experience, relevant courses, club participation and internship preferred
Skills Required:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Basic math and accounting skills
Valid driver’s license
Special skills or knowledge preferred:
Microsoft Mappoint
