Junior Associate Product Manager

As a Junior Associate in Digital Product Management, you will nurture strong relationships with world-class clients and partner with them to drive innovative product development. You will research, analyze and define business and user needs, identifying options for improving business systems and processes, and bridging the needs of the business and IT through the analysis and communication of requirements.

Your Impact:
  • Understand the product vision and help bring it to life
  • Understand, analyze and capture business and user needs; define, analyze and document business and functional requirements and make sure they align with the product vision
  • Create specifications, including business process flows and data flow diagrams that reflect the scope and complexities of the requirements
  • Proactively identify cross-track dependencies ensuring that there are no gaps in coverage across all modules and any gaps are addressed within and outside the track
  • Help foster a collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with the creative and technology teams to ensure that business requirements are translated into designs that fit the technical and creative constraints
  • Help resolve issues, risks and dependencies in conjunction with the experience, creative, data and tech teams
  • Review and provide input into other deliverables from other team members as needed
  • Support the technology and QA teams (e.g. review test cases to ensure they align with the requirements) to ensure that specifications are understood and met
  • Participate in project planning activities
  • Be a partner to our clients
  • Join design discussions and workshops to define new requirements or changes
  • Build trusting relationships with clients in order to elicit and manage requirements

Your Additional Impact:
  • Research and identify industry best practices related to business needs
  • Research, define, analyze and capture business and user needs
  • Define, analyze and document business and functional requirements
  • Document the requirements in a client-ready format and support fit gap analysis
  • Understand business processes/problems and lead discussions with developers and designers
  • Collaborate with the creative and technology team members to ensure that business requirements adhere to technical and creative constraints
  • Help resolve issues, risks and dependencies within the track and across different tracks
  • Define business and system use cases and verify that the requirements are testable
  • Trace the requirements (Traceability Matrix) and work with QA and Development teams to ensure that requirements are met
  • Facilitate working sessions to drive / define new requirements or changes
  • Serve as Note Taker and/or Stage Manager and support breakout sessions during workshops
  • Communicate requests received by the client to the project leadership and team
  • Identify risks and dependencies proactively and bring them to the team’s attention
  • Understand the roles and inter-dependencies of other team members, in particular User Experience (Information Architects, Visual Designers, Copywriters, etc.), Technology and QA
  • Understand the inter-dependencies with the technical team (integration documentation, developers, etc.)

Your Skills & Experience:
  • Able to analyze business requirements and define solutions to address complex business needs
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong judgment, issues management and problem analysis techniques
  • Shows initiative, has excellent judgment, pays attention to detail and able to solve problems
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, time management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable with vagueness and able to form structure; proven ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Flexible, collaborative and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to completion
  • Capable of interacting with individuals at all client organizational levels
  • Desire to work in a highly creative and collaborative multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office tools, Visio and Project
  • Previous digital experience is not required, but a passion for all things interactive is
  • Ideal candidate will have prior internship experience in consulting, data analysis or related field

Your Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering (systems engineer), economics or related field, or equivalent military experience
