Personal Health Care (PHC) is a growing & strategic $2B business with a broad portfolio of products that meet consumers’ healthcare needs in the areas of respiratory health (Vicks, Dayquil, Nyquil), sleep (ZzzQuil), and digestive wellness (Metamucil, Align, Prilosec, Pepto Bismol). The PHC product portfolio is among the most highly regulated in the company and requires compliance against both internal and external standards and expectations to ensure that products can be kept on shelf and to protect our quality promise. Technology encompasses a wide variety of unit operations used in production of dose forms including: liquid syrups, suspensions, tablets, powders, gummies, sprays, rubs, capsules and inhalers. Projects generally include supply assurance, compliance, change control, and cost savings, flowing from both upstream development and the Product Supply current business portfolio. This person will lead and execute the portfolio of product/process related Materials Process & Delivery (MPD) work primarily for North America, including Canada. This role will enable upskilling across the NA PHC portfolio through cost savings and business continuity plan efforts, but will also include ownership of specific Health Care products/forms/sites. Based on applicant's interest and experience, this role could also include MPD Packaging responsibilities and/or ownership of key systems linked to the broader organization’s digitalization program.
 
 

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor or Master degree in the field of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical sciences or a related science or relevant work experience.
 
Leadership/Project Ownership: Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical projects by setting specific & stretching plans and execution to meet and exceed them, while providing status updates on progress of and barriers to work. In touch to connect the big business picture with realities across the supply chain to manage both a portfolio of projects and day to day issues. 
 
Agility: Supply chains and compliance needs change frequently. Able to work on multiple product and technical platforms simultaneously. Versatile to adapt to shifting priorities, as well as changes and upgrades to work processes, responding to and anticipating the changing business environment for each brand.
 
Operates with discipline: This role needs an independently motivated individual who can work alone as well as function at a high level in a team environment. High attention to detail and flawless technical thinking and documentation will be key to keeping plans on track and executed with excellence.
 
Regulated Business: Experience with and thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and demonstrated experience delivering against these requirements. Experience with external quality monograph/compendia requirements and internal qualification work process/systems related to compendia (USP, EP) and regulatory agencies (FDA, Health Canada, other Boards of Health) requirements. Previous experience in a regulated business is desirable.
 
Collaboration: Demonstrated strong collaboration and ability to get work done across functions, locations and cultures by setting and maintaining priorities. Experience as technical resource for all levels in the organization.
 
Grows Capability: Track record of growing capability of self and the organization. Relevant experience can be in the form of providing coaching, training, etc. or in developing improved work processes or capabilities.
