Promotions Director

Job Overview:
The position will conceptualize, develop, and execute results-oriented marketing plans, advertising strategies, and creative platforms for
promotions designed to increase audience ratings and enhance the image and reputation of the station.
Job Duties:
Work with Program Director, Digital Department, Sales Managers, Account Executives and related support staffs to coordinate on-air,
web, and/or on-site opportunities that provide a benefit for the radio station, listeners and clients/sponsors.
Develop and execute community outreach, marketing campaigns and events related to extending and growing brand strategies.
Personally meet community groups, seeking out partnerships.
Coordinate donation requests.
Build and enhance on-line awareness while leveraging station events on all platforms, new business ventures and social media
relationships.
Write and create engaging content for web and social media, basic HTML web publishing, media releases, online releases and other
communication duties.
Work with Sales Departments to establish outside relationships for cross-promotional partnerships.
Coordinates the creation of sales and promotional ideas.
Work on the development and execution of community growth strategies with others.
Working within approved budgets and guidelines, determine promotional merchandise needs, including creative. Responsible for
obtaining competitive quotes and completing purchase requisitions in timely manner.
Recruit, interview, hire and directly supervise full-time Promotions staff.
Coordinator and part-time Promotions Event staff.
Responsible for managing performance and expectations. Works with station management on disciplinary issues.
Point of contact for listener email comments. Respond appropriately and in a timely fashion. Escalate issues when necessary.
Oversee station contests, including rule generation and fulfillment of all prizes won from station; to include securing prizes and
obtaining required waiver release information according to company policy.
Work cooperatively with others to ensure that station marketing, promotions and appearances are executed flawlessly and within set
parameters.
