Contracting (Procurement) Summer Internships

Air Force Contract Specialists are the heart of a complex process relying on sound business acumen to deliver innovative and strategic business solutions that include everything from aerospace systems, such as satellites, electronics, and high-performing aircraft deployed directly to the warfighter to commercially available supplies and services necessary for the day-to-day operations of our military installations.

As Mission-Focused Business Leaders, Air Force Contract Specialists are at the forefront leveraging quantitative skill sets to analyze proposals, negotiate, execute, and administer contracts to fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace.

The U.S. Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) has a number of opportunities for current full-time college/university sophomores and juniors (that graduate no earlier than Dec 2022) to participate in a paid Summer 2022 internship. In addition, Graduate students who are pursuing a masters degree immediately after awarded their baccalaureate degree are also eligible to participate in the Premier College Internship Program (PCIP).

The Copper Cap Intern Program is for candidates who graduated from a 4 year course of study leading to a baccalaureate degree or masters degree from an accredited institution. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 24 semester-hours of Business courses, but is not a requirement. This program offers a 3-year formal training and development plan with non-competitive annual salary increases and promotions following successful performance and supervisory approval.
