Supply Project Manager Specialist - Technical Development Program

Purpose of the Role:
To provide functional and strategic leadership in supporting the delivery of projects. These projects can range in value and complexity, straddling Innovation, global brand renovation initiatives and cost optimization projects.

To support a subset of the Innovation & Brand Change (I&BC) team to deliver a specific category:

  • Consistently delivery of each program against market Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Bring creative solutions to commercialization challenges
  • Ensure I&BC programs utilize proven Diageo methodologies (Global I&BC Standards and any additional market-specific standards), while actively seeking opportunities to continuously improve
  • Role model authentic leadership and motivation of cross-functional teams

​Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end cross-functional oversight and delivery of Innovation, Brand Change programs from Gate 1 to Launch.
  • Assist in sales samples, technical trials and testing support as needed by the project team
  • Delivering a variety of programs at any one time with varying degrees of complexity, on time, in full, on budget and achieving the KPI’s which connect directly to COGS
  • Sitting within the Technical organization this role acts as a business partner to the rest of Supply, Innovation (Technical and Marketing), Commercial and Brand Marketing.
  • Provide Supply input & commercial grounding during project development phases, driving resolution of commercialization hurdles that may arise and managing regular project communications to Supply and Demand project sponsors, Technical Operations and the broader Supply community.
  • Utilize advanced Project Management skills to ensure Diageo technical best practices are adhered to.
  • Nurtures and builds strong relationships with stakeholders in Demand and throughout the Supply organization.

Qualifications and Experience Required 

  • Legal Drinking Age (21 years) by the start of employment (June 2021)
  • Unrestricted US work authorization now and in the future 
  • At least two years of coursework towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or similar, preferably with relevant coursework or internship experience 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects to conclusion 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization 
  • Confidence, adaptability, and resiliency in challenging situations and a fast-paced environment
