Medical Technologist (Austin Public Health)
The Medical Technologist performs pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical laboratory procedures for identification of STIs. This includes but is not limited to phlebotomy, processing and testing of specimens, and reporting test results.
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus one (1) year of experience in a field related to working in a clinical laboratory.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Certification as a Medical Technologist by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or the National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or other recognized association.
