Digital Producer

Position will work closely with a team to update KELOLAND.com, KELOLAND apps and social media accounts with the latest news, weather, and sports developments. Maintain awareness of daily newsgathering and identify unique content opportunities for web coverage. Find, create, and edit original news content including text, pictures, and video for distribution on digital platforms. Candidate must be able to prioritize workload to keep website as accurate and up-to-date as possible. Will help coordinate online and on-air presentation of stories. 

Produce social media news updates. Manage interactive initiatives.  Create and/or manage other content as assigned. 

Strong news writing skills with an emphasis on relevance and accuracy. Candidate must maintain knowledge of current events, online trends, and social media. Must understand basic concepts of photography, video editing and computer programming. Should be familiar with ENPS, Adobe Photoshop and Edius editing software along with Microsoft Word and Excel. This is not a programming/technical position, but knowledge of those skills is helpful in the position.

Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Priority will be given to candidates demonstrating past web experience, along with social media success.
