Registered Nurse - Critical Care Internship (starting Feb 2021)

The Critical Care Internship program begins February 8, 2021. 

Applications must be submitted between 10/12/20 - 10/28/20.
 
The Critical Care Internship Program is designed to provide the intern with basic intensive care skills and knowledge through a combination of didactic and clinical experiences. The program includes approximately 150 hours of class time, 520-600 hours of clinical experience, weekly individual course work, research projects and presentations. The content of the course will enable the intern to use critical thinking, research, and critical care clinical skills to identify, plan, and provide individualized competent patient care in the critical care arena. 

The Critical Care Internship Program is an 22 week supervised program for new graduates and experienced nurses. The program provides didactic and clinically supervised experiences, which will transition the participant to the role of an adult critical care practitioner.

At the completion of the Critical Care Internship Program, the intern will be hired into one of the adult Critical Care Units, Emergency Department, or into our internal Critical Care Resource Pool. The intern be required to fulfill two years of full time employment in an adult ICU at the University Hospital upon completion of the program; otherwise, reimbursement will be prorated.
 
Candidates with a completed BSN are strongly preferred.

Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Utah is required on, or prior to the program beginning in February 2021.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN with active status, and in good standing) in a Nurse Licensure Compact State on, or prior to the program beginning in February 2021, will also be accepted.
