Social Media/Marketing Assistant (part time)

EPWNG is a women’s networking organization that supports and empowers women through personal and professional connections. We are seeking a Marketing/Social Media Intern to work 10-15 hours per week on marketing and social media activities to help engage and grow our membership. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to learn new skills and work with a variety of professional women and learn a lot about building your career and business.

We are seeking an Intern that is a self-starter, has a high level of energy and is creative. The candidate must be social media savvy and is thought-provoking when interacting with online communities and building relationships.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and plan social media marketing posts, including monitoring engagement (e.g. comments and shares).
  • Monitor comments, likes, follows, hashtags for relevant information or necessary response. Engage followers with direct communication.
  • Seek and analyze competitor marketing and digital information
  • Manage, write and post update and content to EPWNG website.
  • Deliver monthly key social media metrics that analyzes traffic, trends, and overall digital strategy by extracting data into meaningful information.
  • Create, write/edit content and publish monthly newsletter.
  • Liaise with EPWNG committee chairs on a monthly basis for updates/content to include in the newsletter.
  • Carry out any administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field. We will consider seniors in college with at least 15 hours per week availability.
  • At least one marketing or social media internship.
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with the major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google+.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights and Google Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance.
  • Experience with content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite and image/video editing software.
  • Must be able to work independently and from home.
