The following opportunity is with Layne Christensen Company, a Granite Company:
 
Founded over 130 years ago as a well drilling contractor, Layne is one of the largest, most experienced water service companies, serving hundreds of municipalities, industrial companies, agribusinesses, mining companies and the world. We supply well drilling and construction for dewatering wells, monitor well completions, environmental and geotechnical drilling, water well rehabilitation, pumping equipment sales and services, mineral exploration drilling, hydrologic investigations and water treatment technologies.
 
In June 2018, Layne became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Granite Construction, Inc.
 
General Summary

Account Manager

This position is responsible for promoting, developing and selling water resources services by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with potential customers and their consulting engineers on a national basis. 
 
 
 
 

Essential Job Accountabilities

1. Establish and maintain client relationship to facilitate sale of water resources services nationally for professional services and specialty contracting services for industry-leading contractor
2. Develop and identify prospects from current clients, referrals, leads, and other sources to make sure goals are achieved.

3. Prepare and issue reports on prospect pipeline, current sales, forecasts, and market trends so that regional operations can effectively grow their businesses.

4. Plan and attend industry trade and co nvention shows to generate leads for future business and represent all Layne and Granite brands.
 
5. Maintain contact with Project Managers and Operations personnel to ensure that the project is delivered as promised to the client.

6. Develop an approach to the project and tailor WRD products and services to meet customer needs in accordance with national short term and long-term sales goals.

7. Prepare bid package and recommend margins to meet group strategic plan for financial performance.

8. Utilize CRM system for tracking and forecasting to ensure accurate tracking and forecasting of project goals.

9. Act as the principal contact for customers and work closely with field crews on providing our services to ensure projects are completed by project deadline and budget.
 
Education

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Geology or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information.

• Public speaking and presentation skills a must.
