Juvenile Justice Support Staff
About the Role:
As the Juvenile Justice Support Staff, you will use your relational ministry skills to support the ministry at the Eldora State Training School for Boys. Serving all students, you will work within a team context to ensure the spiritual needs are met. You will also assist in ensuring that we leverage technology to expand the reach of our chaplaincy ministry. You will provide administrative support for chaplain staff, ensuring proper record keeping of all volunteer and ministry activities.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to help students as they transition back into their home community, ensuring that they are connected to a faith community as they return to their community. We are looking for someone who has a track record of reaching lost teens, has strong administrative, technological, and networking skills, and can manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

For nearly 75 years, YFC has been passionately communicating the truth of the gospel. YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ, and commitment to social involvement.
The Greater Iowa YFC chapter covers 30 counties through Central and North Iowa, headquartered in Mason City, Iowa. Growing from a handful of students and a part time director, to a staff of 20 and over 150 volunteers, that serve over 1,200 students annually, we are committed to be a voice of hope in the lives of young people. Our focus as a movement is on multiplying fruitful and sustainable ministry across our region and around the world. We reach middle school, high school, pregnant and parenting, and incarcerated kids aged 12-19 through a variety of programs.
About the Eldora:
Eldora is a gem located in central Iowa with a storied history. Surrounded by natural beauty, Eldora is a travel back to simpler times. With just over 2,000 residents, Eldora can give the coveted small-town feel while being a short drive from larger communities such as Iowa Falls and Waterloo/Cedar Rapids.
The State Training School (STS) at Eldora serves the entire state of Iowa, offering a holistic social, behavioral, psychiatric, academic and vocational program to males, ages 12 to 18 years old who have been adjudicated delinquent.
