A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Hsieh Lab at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The core focus of the Hsieh Lab is to interrogate the mechanisms by which post-transcriptional gene regulation governs cancer cell behavior at a molecular, cellular, and organismal level (Hsieh et al. Nature 2012, Schuster and Hsieh Trends in Cancer 2019, Winters et al. JCI Insight 2019, and Liu et al. Science Translational Medicine 2019).

Responsibilities

For this position, the applicant will utilize murine genetics, whole transcriptome ribosome profiling, functional genomics, RNA labeling/sequencing techniques, various cellular and molecular assays, and a one-of-a-kind biorepository of primary and metastatic human bladder cancer samples to understand how the translation apparatus promotes cancer phenotypes.

Fred Hutch has more than 200 postdoctoral fellows working in labs across all five research divisions. We provide postdocs with the opportunity to work on the cutting edge of biomedical research in a supportive, collaborative environment with faculty and staff who are dedicated to helping their trainees achieve their career goals.
