Supply Chain Planner Intern

Intern Within The Global Supply Chain Group in Tinley Park, IL
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for providing direct assistance to internal customers on various Supply Chain related topics. 
 The Supply Chain Planner collaborates in a global cross functional atmosphere while working with:

  • Global Planning
  • Manufacturing/Operations
  • Engineering
  • Customer Service
  • Shipping Operations
  • Theatre Supply Chain counterparts

To achieve inventory optimization, scheduling and planning efficiencies, meet customer expectations, and support supply chain improvement initiatives. 
Performs data analysis for demand and / or supply planning, various projects and initiatives that require information gathering to support internal Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Perform analysis on reports to identify improvement opportunities and work with peers to implement solutions. 
Use Oracle, Excel, Demantra, and other web-based applications to perform prescribed work.  
Responsible for system setting optimization to drive and achieve results linked to Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Preferred Major:

  • Supply Chain
  • Operations Management
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Business Management/Business Administration
Preferred Skills / Academic Exposure: 

  • Oral & Written Communication Skills.
  • Reporting & Presenting Information Skills.
  • Applicants should have experience with Microsoft Excel 
  • Applicants should have the ability to work independently
  • Applicants should have the ability to multitask, problem solve, prioritize, and exercise critical thinking skills 
  • Applicants should be outgoing, confident personality with ability establish rapport.
