Supply Chain Operations Intern

Supply Chain Operations Intern

Converse is the story of a sneaker that started on the court and moved to the stage and street. We’re a company ready for change and that’s who we hire: the most adaptable, the most innovative, and the most creative. Our clothes and sneakers have been worn by rebels, rockers, rappers, artists, thinkers, and individuals. That’s why we hire individuals – we speak the same language. Without you, we’d just be collectors of our own stuff.
For some, business equals selling stuff. That’s the basic model. The more complex model is creating stuff that people identify with and then figuring out how to get it to them. But we need people like you: creative, dynamic problem-solvers who see what we do as more than business as usual. We need people who see what we do as it truly is – giving people tools of self-expression and individuality.

As a Supply Chain Operations Intern you will have the opportunity to work in spaces of critical strategic importance to the future of the Converse brand, such as:
·      Growing core data and analytics insights capabilities across our function
·      Supply Chain of the future – Omni-channel, Planning Transformation, Speed & Delivery Precision, and Simplifying and Automating the way we work
·      Next Generation Sourcing and Manufacturing, including materials management and sustainability

Our team plays a pivotal role in the business end to end – from materials, to manufacturing, to putting our products in the hands of our amazing consumers. Our goal is to drive an adaptable and modern supply chain that is always innovating to effectively take on the evolving needs of our world, our business and our consumers. We work together to deliver quality results at the speed of business, striking a balance between how we WIN NOW and CREATE THE FUTUTRE of our Brand. In this role you will work closely with partners across the business to design, create and support solutions to drive progress against our most important strategic priorities.

Converse is more than a company; it’s a worldwide advocate for self-expression. This belief motivates our employees, permeates our working environment, and inspires our products. No two of us look or think exactly alike; we are each one-of-a-kind. Individually and as a culture, we have the freedom to create and grow personally and professionally. Generous benefits packages only sweeten the experience. From Boston to Shanghai, from Brand Design to Finance, Converse is a brand that celebrates the unique and creative people of the world.

Qualifications:
·      In a 4-Year degree program – preference for individuals who are studying Supply Chain, Operations, Economics, Business, Data and Analytics or Finance
·      Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written and verbal)
·      An inquisitive nature, thirst for knowledge and creative problem-solving
·      Passion for contributing to a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging

Project Descriptions:
The Converse Operations strategic roadmap is underway and always evolving. You will work with key teams and cross-functional partners to unlock progress by analyzing programs*, determining where there are gaps and opportunities, make recommendations to Operations leaders and design and develop solutions that drive results.
