Grants Accountant

Position - Grants Accountant
Pay Grade: 7
Salary: $42,650 - $54,375 annually
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Grants Accountant is responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with grant awards, especially those utilizing federal funds. This position works closely with the Finance and Accounting Team and the Program(s) for whom the grants are awarded. key job duties include reviewing the terms and conditions of grants awarded to the organization, monitoring the organization’s compliance with terms and conditions of grant awards, and identifying potential compliance risks and propose resolutions. This position provides guidance and assistance in the interpretation of funding agency (federal, state, local, etc.) regulations and requirements. The Grants Accountant is also responsible for assisting with budget development for new grant opportunities. Additional responsibilities include researching new grant opportunities and assisting in preparation and submission of status reports.  This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. The ideal candidate will also have experience writing, monitoring, and/or managing grants that utilize federal funds. Must pass a background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
