Director of Academic Programs - Tucson Metro Area

BASIS is seeking a Director of Academic Programs whose primary responsibility will be organizing and running school-related events and programs to support a culture of academic excellence and ensure the success of our students.
The BASIS.ed academic program is consistently ranked among the top 10 programs nationally and is competitive on an international scale. The mission of BASIS.ed Schools is to provide an academically excellent and rigorous liberal arts and STEM focused college preparatory education to all Lower and Upper School students. Primary Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Supervising all aspects of state testing (SAT, AP, PARCC…etc.) 
2.Supporting teachers on the implementation of their curriculum and grades.
3.Designing and managing parents support programs about the curriculum; and other school-related events.
4. Supervising all activities related to student registration, curriculum coordination and other school-related programs.
5. Creating and maintaining the Teacher schedule and School Calendar.
6. Utilizing school communications and social media to foster a school culture that promotes high academic achievement and intellectual engagement.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and valid fingerprint clearance
  • Experience teaching at the middle school or high school level
  • Sound understanding of academic programs and approaches to learning
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications: A Master’s degree in education or related field. Experience in program coordination or data management is preferred. As is, demonstrated success providing high quality instruction to a diverse student population leading to strong student outcomes. Together with a high level of educational attainment, a successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills in teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence. Critically, a successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
