Grain Location Manager
United Cooperative has an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our cooperative team at our highly functional and efficient grain location facility in Rock Springs, WI as a Grain Location Manager.
Position Overview:
This position will require excellent communication and people skills, as well as prior experience overseeing daily operations while maintaining a positive work environment and a high degree of customer service and employee morale
Grain Management
Job responsibilities include:
- Lead and motivate staff to create productivity, efficiencies and high customer experience.
- Setting proper hours for location operations to work with and satisfy customers, manage operations staff and communicate to management.
- Provide market feedback to Merchandising management and Vice President of Grain.
- Responsible for direction of daily operations of facility.
- Responsible for grain contracting and accounting.
- Coordinates grain inventory with Grain Division Operational Manager.
- Assure proper grain storage and conditioning.
- Oversee grain dryer operations to promote efficiency
- Blend grain for load out to obtain the highest grade and price.
- Assure the grain is loaded out appropriately.
- Maintain good housekeeping to improve worksite safety, reduce chances of fire, dust collection or rodent infestation.
- Supervise critical operations to keep facility open and running, including loading and unloading trucks and rail cars.
- Oversee facility compliance with OSHA and cooperative safety program.
- Communicate company information, policies and procedures to staff.
- Attend all company meetings deemed necessary by management.
Supervision of Energy CLT (Lubricants)
Job responsibilities include:
- Supervise of Energy CLT drivers in daily operations and logistics.
- Provide leadership in routing, SOP’s, inventory control, regulations and safety programs.
- Maintain proper maintenance and repair schedules.
- Work closely with CHS and CHS representatives.
About the facility:
This position is located at a progressive cooperative location that promotes grain and energy. The facility operates as a rail and truck grain destination along with a centralized lubricant statewide distribution system site. The facility is newly upgraded and is in an area with an excellent school systems and recreational activities.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience in grain, grain contracting and logistics.
- 2 years of supervising experience with proven ability to coach and train employees.
- Working knowledge of operations with quality control and safety.
- Must be able to lift, carry up to 50 pounds.
- Cooperative and agricultural background helpful, but not required.
