NBC Sports Internships – Spring 2021, Remote

Responsibilities:
NBCUniversal owns a valuable portfolio spanning across broadcast divisions, cable networks, digital businesses, film, international, local media, Peacock and TV studio productions. 

The NBC Sports Group serves sports fans 24/7 with premier live events, insightful studio shows, and compelling original programming. The sports media company consists of a unique array of broadcast television, cable television, radio and digital sports assets, including NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, NBCSN (NBC Sports Network), Golf Channel, NBC Sports Regional Networks, NBC Sports Radio and all their respective digital properties.  
 
Internships & Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): 

Creative: Marketing, Consumer Engagement  

Editorial/Digital: NBCSG Newsdesk, Editorial & Research, Gaming/Rotoworld, Olympics Digital Video 

Production/Operations: Olympics Operations, Studio & Remote Operations

Section 7 – Qualifications/Requirements: 
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress 

Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits) 

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above 

Must be 18 years of age or older 

Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal 

 
Desired Characteristics:
Strong interest in the media industry; knowledge of sports and/or fantasy sports is a plus  
 
Commitment to building an inclusive work environment  
 
Ability to multitask and highly organized  
 
Excellent verbal and written communication.  
 
Previous internship experience or on-campus leadership.  
 
For Production/Editorial: Experience on a school newspaper or campus news station is a plus.  
 
For Creative/Digital: Experience with social media platforms and various creative tools (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, or Avid) preferred.  
 
Desired Majors:Brand Management, Broadcast Media, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Digital Video, English, Graphic Design, Journalism, Market Research, Marketing, Mass Media, News Writing and Reporting, Production, Social Media, Sports Communications, Sports Management
