Analytics Intern - Milliman IntelliScript - Summer 2021

Overview
Milliman IntelliScript is a specialty software-as-a-service (SaaS) practice of Milliman that provides valuable real-time data and underwriting decision support tools, primarily to health and life insurers. With deep understanding and expertise in the life and health insurance markets, IntelliScript offers an innovative suite of products to interpret and deliver electronic medical data (such as prescription histories, diagnoses, treatment data, etc.) to help clients make effective underwriting decisions.
As a Summer Intern with IntelliScript, you’re assigned to projects that directly impact our business, such as data analysis, reporting, systems performance, clinical insights, and opportunities for innovation. Analytics interns primarily perform data analysis using Excel, VBA, and SQL to support our products. In collaboration with employees across the company, you’ll develop deeper technical and personal skills in a professional services environment.

Professional Qualifications
·       Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, information science, data science, statistics, or similar major
·       General proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
·       Minimum GPA of 3.2

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Experience with SQL queries and/or data modeling tools such as VBA or R
  • Experience in programming, coding, development, etc.
  • Prior related internship(s) and/or related work experience
Location
We anticipate that this position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI. Safety of our employees is paramount, and CDC guidelines will continue to be followed.
