Employee Health Test Center Technical Supervisor - PhD

P&G has established an Employee Health Test Center (EHTC), under the Occupational Health Management Program, to ensure and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for employees as they return to the workplace during and post the Covid-19 pandemic. The EHTC program has successfully been deployed within the Greater Cincinnati area and is now expanding to other P&G US locations. The EHTC Technical Supervisor is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the P&G CLIA laboratory and will partner with a multi-functional team, including Medical, Quality, Legal, Product Supply, R&D, and Safety. He/She will be accountable for a) the selection and implementation of appropriate test methodology for the clinical use, b) verification of the test procedures performed and establishment of the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy, c) enrollment and participation in an HHS approved proficiency testing program, d) maintaining a quality control program appropriate for the testing performed and the parameters for acceptable levels of analytic performance and ensuring that these levels are maintained throughout the entire testing process from specimen receipt, through sample analysis and reporting of test results, e) resolving technical problems and ensuring remediation and corrective actions are taken whenever necessary, f) identifying training needs and assuring each individual performing tests receives regular training and education appropriate, g) evaluating the competency of all testing personnel, assuring that the staff maintain their competency and evaluating and documenting staff’s performance regularly. A PhD in Biology or Biotechnology is required, Microbiology, Virology or Immunology is preferred.
    * 1 - 3 yrs of hands-on research experience in the field of virology; specifically, minimum of 6 months of experience in high-complexity testing in virology is required
    * Excellent hands-on, bench-top laboratory skills, including precision and accuracy, are a must.
    * Experience with Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR) and RNA extraction is required.
    * Superior attention to detail.
    * An understanding and appreciation of regulatory & quality requirements is desired.
    * GLP laboratory experience is preferred.
    * Exceptional problem-solving skills.
    * Ability to handle change and pivot quickly as science advances and bring new technical improvements on-line
    * Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
