Director of Domestic Partnerships Intern

The Director of Domestic Partnerships is a new position on the Leading Women of Tomorrow (LWT) corporate staff team. The Director of Domestic Partnerships will have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Director to identify potential partnerships with like-minded organizations, conduct outreach campaigns, and facilitate collaboration between partner organizations and our 40+ LWT collegiate chapters. This is an entirely virtual position, so all applicants must have access to a computer to be able to work remotely.

Students should consult with academic faculty to determine if this unpaid experience will earn credit.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead collaborations with domestic organizations that have similar missions to Leading Women of Tomorrow, with the primary aims of providing more programming ideas to domestic members, expanding the service of Leading Women of Tomorrow abroad, and growing the community of supporters.
  • Work with representatives of partner organizations to develop domestic programming for affiliated chapters.
  • Cultivate relationships with partners that lead to Leading Women of Tomorrow being featured in their digital content.
  • Assist the Director of Chapter Programming with coordinating national programming efforts, such as outreach to potential speakers.

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently attending or recently graduated from an Accredited Post-Secondary Institution (an undergraduate or graduate program).
  • Must be able to commit 5-10 hours per week to the position.
  • This is an entry-level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience conducting email outreach campaigns.
  • Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  • Proactive research skills used in seeking out opportunities to advance and improve the organization.
  • Possession of a self-starter attitude and willingness to take initiative.
  • Basic familiarity with Google Drive programs, such as Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Forms.
  • Experience using Mail Merge is a plus.
  • Passion for empowering women to pursue careers in public service.
