Director of Chapter Programming Internship

The Director of Chapter Programming is a new position on the Leading Women of Tomorrow (LWT) corporate staff team. The Director of Chapter Programming will have the opportunity to work closely with the COO to coordinate regional and national events for our 40+ LWT collegiate chapter. This is an entirely virtual position, so all applicants must have access to a computer to be able to work remotely.

Students should consult with academic faculty to determine if this unpaid experience will earn credit.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate regional and national virtual events for both the general public and the affiliated chapters.
  • Identify potential professional development opportunities related to the purpose of Leading Women Tomorrow and distribute this information to the organization's affiliated chapters.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.
  • Compile resources such as event guides, fundraising manuals, and other such materials to provide support for affiliated chapters.
  • Craft curriculum for affiliated chapters to provide recommendations for their general body meetings.

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently attending or recently graduated from an Accredited Post-Secondary Institution (an undergraduate or graduate program).
  • Must be able to commit 5-10 hours per week to the position.
  • This is an entry-level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience crafting detailed line-item budgets for events.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage both big-picture and day-to-day logistics.
  • Skilled at project management and delegating tasks to team members.
  • Ability to stay organized while coordinating multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Possession of a self-starter attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Basic familiarity withGoogle Drive programs, such as Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Forms.
  • Passion for empowering women to pursue careers in public service.
