NI Product Management Internship

Intern Within The Network Infrastructure (NI) Data Center Group in Tinley Park, IL  
The Network Infrastructure Data Center Group is the business segment responsible for product development strategy of cabinets, thermals and preconfigured solutions into the data center market segment.  

Projects You Will Be Working On Include, But Not Limited To:  

Product Development Strategy and Execution: Containment and Cabinet Expansion: 

  • Assist in defining the market landscape to justify new product development for one to two areas of focus. 
  • Conduct competitor and market research 

80-20 Product Line Simplification  

  • Help develop data-driven strategy to manage lifecycle of portfolio.   
  • Participate in product training to understand cabinet and/or containment portfolio. 
  • Utilize spreadsheet reports for revenue and product usage historical analysis. 

Preferred Major

  • Mechanical Engineering 
  • Business Management/Business Administration  

Preferred Skills / Academic Exposure:   

  • Oral & Written Communication Skills. 
  • Reporting & Presenting Information Skills. 
  • Applicants should have experience with Microsoft Excel   
  • Applicants should have the ability to work independently 
  • Applicants should have the ability to multitask, problem solve, prioritize, and exercise critical thinking skills  
  • Applicants should be outgoing, confident personality with ability establish rapport.
