Education Coordinator

The Iowa Funeral Directors Association (IFDA) seeks an Education Coordinator to design and manage the delivery of meaningful educational experiences for all funeral directors licensed in Iowa with the purpose of advancing IFDA’s mission of promoting and supporting funeral service excellence. 

 

The duties of this newly created position include verifying all IFDA educational offerings meet state licensure requirements for funeral directors and that all educational opportunities meet IFDA standards of professionalism and identified educational goals. The Education Coordinator will evaluate and recommend delivery vehicles for content that align with member preferences and target audiences (live events, eLearning, webcasts, etc.) for an array of educational opportunities. The Education Coordinator will also provide onsite training to funeral homes that request such training designed to meet the requester’s objectives.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a four-year degree in a related field as well as experience with all Microsoft Office software. Applicants must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and exceptional communication skills. This position is slated to begin in January 2021.
