HR Talent Acquisition Intern (Summer 2021)

The Ingredion Talent Acquisition team is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic college student to join the team for an internship during the summer of 2021. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various members of the Corporate Talent Acquisition (TA) team. Your projects will directly support and align with some of the main TA team goals for 2021. We are looking for someone who has a strong initiative to improve status-quo and incorporate change in a dynamic work environment.  

As a Talent Acquisition Intern, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Supporting early talent initiatives within the company through various means, i.e. communications, event planning, intern activities, etc. 
  • Researching new ways to expand the TA team’s outreach for diversity, equity, & inclusion 
  • Completing special projects as necessary and capable and having the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently  
  • Demonstrating the capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks  

The Talent Acquisition Intern position is well-suited for you if you:  
  • Are self-motivated and committed to results 
  • Are a creative problem solver and have the ability to listen and understand a process before recommending improvements 
  • Are technically proficient and utilize technology in efficient ways 
  • Have outstanding social skills and the ability to function well independently or within a team  
  • Want to learn more about the dynamics of talent and HR  

Qualified candidates will have: 
  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred 
  • Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term  
  • Strong business insight and continuous improvement skills 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products 
  • A basic understanding to HR disciplines, including but not limited to Talent Acquisition and Talent Management 
  • Outstanding attention to detail with verbal and written communication skills 

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must: 
  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT. 
  • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
