Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations Management Internship (Summer 2021)

Intern with our Transportation & Trade Compliance Team in Tinley Park, Illinois. 

The Transportation & Trade Compliance Teams are tasked with providing efficient and legal means of distributing Panduit goods throughout the world. The scope of responsibility ranges throughout the global Panduit theaters. Primary responsibilities include: International Customs and trade compliance regulation interpretation and application. HTS application and system management. Transportation maintenance and relations with carriers, including $55M/yr. budget management. Order tracking/tracing, shipment booking, carrier invoice management, transportation-related customer complaint management. International shipping and trade compliance documentation. 

Projects you will be working on include: 

SR Maintenance:  

  • Transportation Complaint Documentation 
  • Provide support in analyzing opportunities for improvement  
  • Job Shadow Transportation Complaint Management  

GTM System Maintenance: 

  • Document management shipment movement from one country to another  
  • Analysis HTS Codes and how they effect commerce 

Transportation Modes & Options:

  • Learn how goods move from point A to point B 
  • Analyze the cost verse transit time  
  • Develop understand of options based on shipment requirement both for customer and Panduit 

Data Analytics:  

  • Gathering, formatting, manipulating and reporting on various data sets centered around Transportation and Trade Management.

  • Applicants should have the ability to work independently 
  • Applicants should have the ability to multitask, problem solve, prioritize and exercise critical thinking skills 
  • Applicants should be outgoing, have a confident personality with the ability to establish rapport.
