Job Description
Manage daily purchasing activities and supplier relations to negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines. Maintain the supplier database, purchase order records, and related documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Order weekly inventory for all departments using purchase orders in Fishbowl 
  • Complete Requests to Spend in Wrike for special orders
  • Manage outstanding purchase orders in Fishbowl
  • Create and submit weekly reports to Controller regarding weekly purchases 
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with vendors and team leads to source new products
  • Confer with vendor contacts to obtain the best possible pricing
  • Assist with any vendor disputes
  • Proactive sourcing of products to improve efficiency
  • Pricing review of products to improve costs
  • Sourcing of products on an emergency basis as needed
  • Greet visitors and callers with a positive and helpful attitude
Additional considerations and software knowledge desired for this position:
  • ERP and Project Management Software (ie. Wrike) a plus
  • 2 years of general office experience necessary
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement in a manufacturing setting
  • Must have strong communication skills and a high degree of confidentiality
  • Must be highly detail-oriented
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to negotiate and network with new and current vendors
  • Communication within internal teams and external vendors
  • Construction or tech industry knowledge a plus
  • Budget mindset
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills for internal and external clients
Pay and Benefits:
  • Job Type: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt (40-45 hours weekly)

  • Salary: $17.00-20.00 per hour depending on experience
