.NET Developer I

The Full Stack .NET Developer’s role is to assist in architecture, coordination, and implementation of activities related to developing software for Menard’s internal business users. You will find our work environment to be interesting and challenging. This position will draw upon your understanding of technology, design approaches, system architectures, and development methodologies. You will be given the opportunity to impact the daily operations of our business and make measurable contributions through the use of software and technology.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and build our green field next generation of business applications
  • Develop on a small, rapid-pace development team
  • Work with fellow team members in a cohesive, respectful, and highly communicative manner
  • Translate highly complex concepts for internal business customers and stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, to junior developers
  • Help maintain applications via assigned bug fixes and maintenance tasks
  • Perform general development tasks such as estimates, programming, testing, reviews, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or related field
  • Excellent Object Oriented Design principles
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft .NET
  • Experience with multiple database management systems – including design
  • Knowledge of automated unit testing and integration testing
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment; along with mentoring new Team Members 
  • High capacity for learning business processes, technologies, and development methodologies
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Proficient written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must work within designated office hours at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, presently and in the future, without sponsorship
