Job Summary
Lumen’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Marketing & Product Management will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Lumen work projects. Interns will have the potential to experience being responsible for helping to execute and communicate product strategy to internal and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and translate market opportunities, competitive intelligence, and customer needs into product requirements and product value messaging. Adept at communicating to both internal and external audiences via written and verbal presentations. This role provides opportunity to make an immediate impact on both our short-term deliverables and long-term strategic goals. The internship will take place in Broomfield, CO and take place from June 1, 2021 - August 13, 2021. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns. Job Description
Create a proposal response library to be used in customer RFPs
· Analyze existing customer base and identify key accounts and recommendations for how we grow
· Create "how-to" reference guides, demonstrations and videos
· Aggregate opportunity loss data and propose recommendations
· Perform competitive intelligence and market
· Create product training materials for sellers
· Create customer facing materials and presentation materials
· Work with online customer experience tool to gather direct feedback from customers
 
Some of the specifics we're looking for:
 
Good organizational and “action accountability” skills
· Ability to work in cross-functional teams
· Proactive and self-motivated – ability to drive projects and assignments
· Good written communication skills
· Experience creating presentations
· Drive execution of short and long term development items in support of a product portfolio
· Adept at communicating technical requirements into internal executable written and verbal presentations
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Must be detail oriented
Qualifications
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher (preferred)
  •    Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, in a rising junior, rising senior, or masters level status at time of internship.
  •    Graduating between August 2021 – May 2023
  •    Education/Degree: In pursuit of a bachelor’s level degree in business, accounting or finance in a senior level status at the start of the internship. Master’s Degree preferred.
  •    Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  •    Ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability
  •    Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions
  •    Strong written and verbal communication skills
  •    Flexible and adapts well to change
  •    Professional appearance and attitude
  •    Intern is responsible for their travel to/from work location
  •    Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe
