Job Summary
Lumen’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Strategic Enterprise and Public Sector organization will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Lumen work projects. This division is the service engine behind the sales organization. Team completes all proposal development and determine the validity or quality of a sales deal. The internship will be remote work as the entire team is telecommuting. In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engage with our employee resource groups and be able to develop their professional skills and business acumen through frequent exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns. Job Description
  • Support sales pipeline analysis of financial options and recommendations to optimize the development of strategic business cases
  • Work with reporting tools and dashboards, and understands revenue data, sales funnel, and opportunities.
  • Aid with ad hoc reporting and other team initiatives.
  • Sales technical writing
  • Review proposals that are in accordance with Lumen Compliance 
  • Proposal support
  • Proposal editing

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
•   Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or sales related background 
•   Classification: entering senior status at start of internship.
•   Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college (graduating after August 2021).
•   Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred.
•   Must have transportation to/from work daily.
•   Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe.
•   Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills. 
•   Attention to Detail
•   Able to Present & Communicate in Larger Forums
•   Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
•   Prior sales experience is preferred
•   US Work Authorization is required
