Intern- Firmware Engineer

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Firmware Engineer Intern will contribute to various coding and programming duties within the AC Power Firmware Engineering group, work in a cross-functional development group, perform variety of tasks and activities required in a dynamic environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Developing embedded Code in C
  • Using MATLAB/Simulink tool to create simulation models for analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Create feedback control algorithms, such as PID controllers
  • Embedded code development on a micro controller or digital signal processor (DSP)
  • Assembly coding, battery monitoring, and bug/defect tracking tools
  • Setting up and performing tests in a lab environment to validate firmware designs and requirements. Must know how to use an oscilloscope, power meters etc.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated record of meeting deadlines and goals for design projects

POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·        This position is in the company’s manufacturing facility in Delaware, OH.
