Graphic Designer
Responsibilities/Duties of the Position
- Create graphics for presentations, print and digital advertising, sales collateral, infographics, websites, email, company-wide communications, and trade shows / conferences
- Responsible for the execution and review of creative concepts from design through finished product in digital and print platforms with a minimal amount of oversight
- Working closely with the division leader, project manager and production team to ensure that all information necessary for the successful production of the design is clearly understood
- Staying current on market trends and research as it relates to retail design, and communicates it to other team members
- Understand a wide array of brands and adhere to requirements. Maintain overall appearance, consistency.
- Usability experience with a focus on solution-oriented content and user experience
- Pitch new ideas and strategies to further marketing and company goals
- Create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed projects.
Position Qualifications
Key Skills and Experiences
- Entry-level role; 0-1 year experience in a design agency and / or corporate in-house creative department
- Strong portfolio exhibiting a broad range of styles and formats
- Strong skills in design fundamentals such as knowledge of composition, form, shape and color, layout, typography
- Experience with email platforms for creation, management and distribution of marketing emails. Understanding of email marketing, CSS, HTML and web-based graphics
- Excellent project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow up (commitment to deadlines, processes and policies)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional presentation skills.
- Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Conceptual, problem-solver, and big picture thinking
- Enthusiasm for an iterative design process
- Exceptional relationship management skills
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2-year degree in graphic design, digital design, visual communication or related area required
- Must comply with continuing education per Company, regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
- Working at a physical desk, moving about the office and facility as needed for work
- Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision, and peripheral vision
- Limited travel required (<4 trips/year)
