Registered Nurse - Community Living Center

The CLC registered nurse demonstrates an in-depth understanding of dynamics of aging as well as the interventions necessary for health promotion, hospice and palliative care, and for management of health status changes. The CLC registered nurse provides comprehensive nursing services independently or collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff and interdisciplinary teams. Through administration, education, research and theory-based clinical practice, the CLC registered nurse provides high quality of care to long-term care to include skilled nursing services, rehabilitation nursing services, respite care and hospice/palliative patients. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients in the long-term care and hospice/palliative care environment. The individual must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs, providing care as needed as described in policies and procedures.
