Munite®: Munite® is a one-stop shop investor relations platform that bridges the gap between the municipal issuer and investor communities, helping to ensure that issuers are optimizing their investor relations outreach when accessing the capital markets to secure funding for critical public projects.
 
The platform leverages PFM’s role as a leader in the municipal market, leveraging our expertise to benefit bond issuers with an optimal approach to investor relations. The intuitive and efficient internet-based platform allows municipal bond issuers to put their information and data into the hands of those that help fund their projects – investors. Munite® subscribers can provide highly organized, accessible sector-specific information that helps to inform the investors decision-making process. Munite® subscribers also gain unparalleled insight into investor decision-making criteria as well as issuer comparison of key metrics amongst issuer-defined peer groups.

Responsibilities

BUILD YOUR CAREER FOUNDATION WITH PFM
PFM’s Interns are a critical part of the project teams that serve our broad base of clients. Each role provides a solid foundation for a meaningful and growth-oriented career with the firm, and many of our Managing Directors and project managers have spent their entire careers with PFM.
 
Your core objective is to serve PFM’s practices by providing analytic resources and solutions that support key client engagements and transactions. Responsibilities:
Your day to day challenges include:
  • Familiarize yourself with how the Munite® investor relations platform aligns with PFM’s mission.
  • Understand Munite’s® position within PFM and the municipal bond market.
  • Assist team members with new issue weekly dashboard updates.
  • Participate in Munite® demonstrations with bond issuers and investors.
  • Become comfortable with client success tracking (Trello, CORE, Workflow).
  • Brainstorm new marketing techniques (LinkedIn, email campaigns, video tutorials, etc.)
  • Learn how to update various Munite® modules and dashboards.
  • Assist team members with the following projects / assignments as needed:
  • Demo preparation
  • Marketing efforts
  • Workflow collaboration
  • Product development
  • Administrative tasks
  • Actively participate on weekly Munite® team calls and twice weekly QSG team calls
  • Shadow investor presentations and panel discussions.
  • Shadow issue bond transactions in the municipal market.


Qualifications

Key attributes PFM seeks include:
  • Evidence of strong academic achievement in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree program (minimum GPA of 3.25 / 4.0 encouraged)
  • Compelling interest in building a career in finance, consulting and/or investment management (ideally evidenced by related coursework, internships, or other transferable experience)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude
  • Developed problem solving skills and a solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges
  • Ability to dig into the details but also see the big picture
  • Ability to think and act strategically and independently
