The Contreras laboratory (www.contreraslab.com) is re-opening its doors at The University of California in Davis in January 2021. We are seeking to fill a postdoctoral position to study the role of connexin channels (hemichannels and gap junctions) in arrhythmias and cardiomyopathies. The lab is currently applying state-of the art techniques in imaging, electrophysiology and telemetry, along with novel transgenic tools, to assess the role of these channels in cardiac dysfunction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Life Sciences
- Experience in biophysics, electrophysiology and/or connexins cell biology is strongly preferred
