Continuous Audit & Investigations Supervisor
Up to $94,189 annually

This position exists to supervise the Department of Transportation’s Office of Audit’s Continuous Audit and Investigations unit by planning, coordinating and assigning work flow to ensure that the annual audit plan is completed efficiently, effectively, independently, and with a high degree of discretion, ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism. This position assists the Audit Director in providing leadership, supervision, and oversight for the Continuous Audit and Investigations unit. The Continuous Audit and Investigations unit supervisor:
·        Plans and supervises complex internal performance, information systems, and investigative audits on agency processes, systems, programs, and operations.
·        Trains and supervises less experienced auditors in governmental accounting and audit standards, procedures, and techniques.
·        Reviews work papers for completeness and provides feedback to staff.
·        Reports audit results to comply with audit standards by communicating audit objectives, scope, and reporting process to agency leadership.
·        Participates in communicating audit results and findings to agency leadership, management, and oversight agencies.
·        Prepares the unit’s annual audit plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (with an accounting concentration) AND three years of professional supervisory auditing experience OR four years of advanced professional auditing experience that demonstrates the following:
(*NOTE: A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (with an accounting concentration) substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience)
•Experience conducting financial and/or performance audits and/or investigations.
•Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), operational auditing concepts and compliance with auditing principles.
•Experience analyzing financial data and legal compliance requirements, including laws, federal regulations, and state rules, policies, and procedures.
•Experience with statistical analysis, cost-benefit analysis, or sampling techniques.
