Grant Project Coordinator - (20000773)

**THIS IS A CONTRACTED, NON-BENEFIT POSITION**
The MRC Community Based Services Program is seeking to hire a Grant Project Coordinator. The Grant Project Coordinator will be responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of all project staff and activities related to the ‘Bridges Between” TBI State Partnership Program grant. This federal grant, awarded by the Administration for Community Living (ACL), is designed to create system change by connecting the Brain Injury Community and the Substance Community to provide excellent and informed services to individuals with co-occurring disabilities. The ACL Grant Project Coordinator (PC) will establish and maintain a strong partnerships with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), staff of the MRC Community Based Services Department (CBS), the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA), the BAMSI New Start Brain Injury Community Center, Executive Office of Elder Affairs, MassHealth, the Michigan Public Health Institute and others to develop, implement, and monitor grant funded activities. PC will ensure successful completion of national and local project goals such as:
1. Develop a service model that establishes systemic connections between the Brain Injury community and the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) community in Massachusetts.
2. Provide and/or coordinate ongoing Technical Assistance and support to two groups of Partner State Grantees.
3. Work together with other Mentor State Grantees, ACL and TARCC staff to improve the national impact of the TBI program through national coordination of and collaboration regarding TBI education, services and supports.
In addition, PC will provide oversight of the grant outcome measures, manage subcontracts, coordinate staff training(s), and support the Project Director in the development and management of activities related to the SUD-TBI intensive case management pilot, the expansion a State TBI Advisory Board, State TBI Registry and creation of State TBI Annual Plans. PC will work jointly with the Community Based Services staff on all aspects of the grant to ensure their linkages and involvement in regional groups and meetings. Additionally, the PM will work with MRC’s consulting neuropsychologists and subject matter-experts in identification, modification and/or development of grant educational materials that will enhance awareness of brain injury, screening, and resource facilitation injury for all training levels.
Contract Period of Service: 10/18/2020 - 6/31/2021 (Renewable subject to available funding)
Additional Information:
  • This is a contract position working up to 37.5 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is between $32.70 and $47.37.  
  • Salary placement is determined by years of experience and education directly related to the position and the Human Resources Division’s Recruiting Guidelines.
  • Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.
  • Contracts are renewable, subject to the Department approval, performance and allocation of funds.
  • All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.
  • State and federal taxes will be withheld. In addition the contractor must participate in the Alternative Retirement Program mandated by federal law.
