Application Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer for Global Product Development & Quality, a key task of this role is to support the deployment of PD IT applications for GM China Product Development Group and its Joint Ventures (JVs), and support global project execution with GM China & JV impact.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Intensive understanding of business processes in Product Development
- Understand the Global Product Development IT Process, and follow the process in deployment, including:
- Conduct requirement analysis session
- Install and configure system
- Support System Acceptance Test and User Acceptance Test
- Conduct user training
- Prepare project deliverables
- Perform transition to operation.
- Address issues in a timely manner, lead incident management and response, monitoring and continuity planning and problem resolution with root-cause analysis
- Work in cross functional teams with extended team members in other regions
- Manage business and IT expectations according to project scope and schedule
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information System, Engineering, or other related areas
- Graduate in 2020 or 2021
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Action oriented, Organized, Results driven
- Fast Learner, Self-motivated
- Highly developed communication skills
- Fluent in writing & speaking of both English and Chinese
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in Oracle/SQL Server database configuration and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability in Linux/Window Server OS administration
- Demonstrated ability in Java/C++ programming
- Knowledge and experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.)
- Knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure, networking and IT trends such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
- Knowledge of security architectures, tools and technologies
- Experience of studying abroad
