Position Description:
General Summary: Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers team. This job will primarily responsible for servicing existing and developing new customers by selling products, parts and meeting customer needs.
Responsibilities, Qualifications or Skills Required:
  • Services existing customers by serving as the primary contact for customers while collaborating with Regional Sales Managers, Engineering and Production to ensure the existing customer is receiving the value they expect from their implemented solutions.
  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests for parts.
  • Represents the company by attending trade shows and seminars.
  • Prepares cost estimates using price lists and product literature by studying sales drawings, trailer specifications, options and related customer documents; consulting with engineering, production, and other technical personnel.
  • Submits orders by entering data into database.
  •  Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis. 
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc..
  • Recommends changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Completes operational requirements by following company policies and procedures; reporting needed changes; following up on work results.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.
  • Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupation conditions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed.
 
 
Ancillary Duties:
Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations of the XL Specialized Trailers.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
 
Supervision Received:
Works under broad supervision. The employee is responsible for planning and carrying out the assignment, keeping the supervisor informed of progress and potential problems or future implications.
 
Responsibility for Public Contact:
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. Will requires some travel as needed.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
