Stanford CARE - Summer Research Immersion for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

The Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education (Stanford CARE) is offering an exemplary 8-week summer immersion in Data Science and Vulnerable Populations, with a focus in Asian Health. The program will be held virtually in 2021. At the end of this program, students will have acquired core research skills and have submitted 1-2 manuscripts for publication to a peer reviewed journal, as a team. This immersion program is the equivalent of 3 college courses, and open to undergraduate and graduate students around the world. We are looking for a mix of people in the sciences and arts, who will be future leaders and researchers in Asian Health -- prior research experience is NOT a requirement.
The Stanford CARE-SRI is a program for aspiring research scholars, and is not an employment opportunity.
By the end of the program, learners will utilize tools to conduct large database analysis, understand core concepts in technology-related health care research, identify problems/solutions in vulnerable populations, and effectively engage with technologists, entrepreneurs, non-profits and population science researchers. We will focus on your career development and professional success. At the end of the internship, learners will present their work at a Stanford CARE Summer Research Symposium, and then work on publishing their results in academic journals over the next several months. We will build a lasting community of friends and learners, to propel you to success over your career.
Program Fee: $5,900 | Application Fee: $75
