2021 Sports Management Internship Opportunities

The National Sports Center, USA CUP soccer tournament and the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission in Blaine, Minnesota announce the following internship openings:
 
Sports Administration & Event Management for NSC and MASC
Interns (6-8 positions available) will assist in the administrative organization of major amateur sporting events and projects sponsored by the NSC and MASC. These include Star of the North Games, USA CUP soccer tournament, NSC Cup, NSC All American Cup, USA Ultimate and NSC Velodrome events. Responsibilities will include registration, volunteer services, housing, transportation, officials, activities, campus operations, special events, marketing, competition/programming, ticketing and more. Excellent organizational skills and commitment to first-class service are a must. Start: May 11, 2021 (potential to start earlier)

Campus Operations Logistics
Intern will work with NSC Campus Operations staff. Duties will include but not be limited to pre-tournament set-up, execution of logistics requests, event management, post tournament tear-down and day to day facility management tasks. The candidate must be able to lift at least 40 pounds, have a flexible schedule and be able to work in a fast paced, hands on working environment. Start: May 11, 2021 (potential to start earlier)
 
 
USA CUP Dorm Advisor
During USA CUP; dorms provide a campus living experience for some of the International and United States athletes. We are seeking responsible candidates who will bring diverse backgrounds, are multi-lingual and have outgoing personalities for these positions. As an advisor, you will serve as the immediate contact for individuals in your assigned dorm, answer questions, coordinate transportation, and enforce policies. You must also stay in the dorm you are assigned during the tournament. Dates: July 6-19, 2021

 
Hours -- During summer, hours are 40+ per week. Interns should be flexible with time, as many positions require event work in evenings and weekends. Interns MUST be available to work May 29-30, June 18-20, and July 7-19, 2021. The last day of the internship will be Friday, July 30, 2021.  All positions are available for course credit as approved by your institution. 
 
Compensation -- All positions are a paid bi-weekly stipend based on commensurate of experience.
 
Deadline -- Resumes and cover letters submitted prior to February 1, 2021 will be given preference. Applicants will need to complete an interview which will be conducted at the National Sports Center during the week of February 8-Feb 19, 2021. Alternate interview days may be accommodated.
