Performs diagnostic imaging procedures. Applies principals of radiation protection. Evaluates diagnostic imaging for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action. Performs administrative duties associated with the functioning of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

This full time position is two 24 hr. shifts together so it is actually 48 hrs. a week. You are provided a room to sleep in during that shift when you don’t have patients. Due to this schedule you actually only work 2 days a week, and the days of the week rotate so you would work every day of the week at some point, because of the rotating schedule the way we have it set up you will always have 3-4 days in a row off and you would have 10 days off in a row every 4 weeks. There is an opportunity to work even more overtime if wanted, when we need coverage but that would be optional. It is a critical access hospital so there is not a huge patient flow demand that would be seen in a more demanding setting, you could have anywhere from 2-25 patients in a whole 24 hour shift, it really is feast or famine!
