Water Department Manager

WATER DEPARTMENT MANAGER (Re-posted 1/15/2021)
The City of Dubuque invites applications for the position of Water Department Manager. The successful candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the City of Dubuque Water Department. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies; managing daily operations and maintenance of the water treatment facility, water distribution system and associated pump stations, water reservoirs and wells; planning the use of materials and human resources; and performing related work as required. Duties are diverse and general in nature and include personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. A Bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Finance, Management, Environmental, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related field; 5 years or more relevant work experience including serving in a management role, along with certifications relevant to the position are required. The successful candidate will possess the ability to follow a management philosophy that is input oriented and values equity, problem solving and the development of partnerships; and the desire to be part of an organization that values service, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation and teamwork.
