Value Realization and Strategy Consultant

Description:
The Value Realization and Strategy Consultant is responsible for helping to drive the progress of initiatives towards value realization go-live across a variety of functional areas (e.g. care management, medical cost reduction, etc.). These efforts will involve leveraging a combination of quantitative and qualitative data to develop scalable metrics, insights, analyses, and processes to see and track opportunities through implementation. the Value Realization Consultant will need to work alongside the Senior Director of Value Targeting and Realization and Senior Consultants to create analysis reports to help track value realization targets to timeline. This position is expected to work in an agile fashion. Therefore, this resource will need to be prepared to work successfully through iterative workplan adjustments and be prepared to act on unplanned risks and issues that evolve through progression of initiatives. Criteria for advancement includes expanded skills and knowledge based on experience, record of success (key KPIs to be defined), and job assignments. This role will focus on non-clinical/non-hospital settings and is very similar to work performed by Management Consulting Firms.

Essential Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Senior Consultants on experimentation with new metrics and concepts to track actuals as initiatives move through development. Defines tracking activities for workstream and manages completion of tasks.
Supports continued initiative development through milestone completion activities as defined by the Senior Consultants and in coordination with the Senior Consultants.
Supports TCO opportunities in coordination with Senior Director of Value Targeting and Realization, and Senior Consultants. Serves as a mentor to the Analyst, communicating needs and directing tasks from the Senior Consultants.
Supports development of dashboard documentation through accurate data collection and coordination with data analytics team.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum one (1) years of experience in related field.
Minimum one (1) years of experience in leading projects.
Education
Bachelors degree in health care, business administration, finance, procurement, IT or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
License, Certification, Registration
N/A.

Additional Requirements:
Experience in health plan & healthcare operations.
Experience in supporting financial planning & analytics.
Ability to apply working knowledge of standard healthcare data sources & parameters (e.g. claims knowledge).
Thorough understanding of data analytics methodology & applications.
Deep understanding of complex project management processes, tools, techniques and methodologies to lead large scale efforts.
Ability to communicate across a variety of stakeholders in varying organizational levels & functional areas - ability to articulate business requirements to technical resources for dynamic dashboard buildout required.
Experience in payer and provider organizations across various functional.
Experience in any of the following functional areas preferred: Care Management, Pharmacy, Provider & Medical Vendor Contracting, Medical Cost Reduction/Overpayment reduction, Claims Utilization Management, Claims, Payer/Provider Claims in Healthcare.
Ability to apply a working knowledge of Structural Query Language (SQL) and other relational databases.
Experience with program & project management.
Experience working in PowerBI and/or Tableau.
