Role mission:
The network administrator administers and oversees technical design, implementation, organization and troubleshooting of key business systems. This individual will take on several components of a project or a complex component of a project as it relates to our information technology infrastructure.  

Essential job duties for this network administrator include, but are not limited to:
  • Designs complex LAN and WAN strategies to meet a broad spectrum of business needs
  • Coordinates implementation, optimization, and operation of LAN / WAN systems including procurement, installation, configuration, and management
  • Day to day support of existing environment including monitoring alerts, responding to service tickets, and preventative maintenance
  • Technical design work and analysis
  • Project management
  • Responsibilities outside of normal business hours as most maintenance will happen on weekends 
  • On call support will be required

Essential job requirements for this network administrator include, but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least two or more years of related experience is preferred
  • Technical and functional aptitude of the following:
  • Cisco data networks with knowledge of Cisco IOS, Nexus, and ASA platforms
  • Cisco voice networks including Cisco Call Manager, Unity Connection, SIP, and basic understanding of VoIP.
  • Good understanding of voice and data networking with one or two areas of expertise in routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, wireless, security, and VoIP
  • CCENT or CCNA certifications are preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
