Shift Supervisor – NYCOA seeks a highly motivated Shift Supervisor to manage the overall operations of their plant in Manchester, New Hampshire. Strong leadership skills as well as chemical process expertise will be essential to this role. Primary responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor will include:
• Maintaining a safe work environment for all employees while complying with all local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations and company guidelines.
• Fostering an inclusive environment that provides an open exchange of ideas stressing integrity and honesty.
• Providing high quality services, processes, programs and products to internal and external customers while consistently seeking ways to improve outcomes and enhance service.
• Modeling positive leadership through open and effective communication, motivation, example setting and best practices.
• Supporting a positive team environment in which members participate, respect and cooperate with each other to achieve desired results.
• Delivering appropriate advice, on-going feedback, support and resources to improve effectiveness of individuals and teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 5 - 7 years of supervisory experience is required.
• Plastic resin manufacturing or handling experience preferred.
• Possess strong chemical and process technical knowledge and skills
• General business knowledge and regulatory compliance knowledge
• Experience in a unionized environment is preferred
• Computer skills including MS Office, Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP), PLCs, Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO), Allen Bradley and Wonderware.
• Ability to interact with local emergency response personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading, influencing, building and developing a diverse team.
• Able to embrace a shift work environment/schedule.
• Excellent communication skills
SCHEDULE:
Job Type: Full-time. Seven 12-hour shift, rotating days and nights. One week on days, one week off, one week on nights.
