High School Math Instructor
Requirements
Certification:
-Bachelor of Arts degree or higher; Certification in the State of Iowa to teach 9-12 Mathematics
-Preference given to applicants that have prior experience teaching high school level or post secondary level Mathematics
-Proven experience increasing student achievement for all learners (general education, special education, Two E, ELL)
-Contribute to increased student achievement through effective teaching strategies
-Collaborate and analyze student data/work samples with colleagues during PLCs
-Contribute to a positive school climate
Experience:
-Effectively participate in professional learning communities and collaborative grade-level teams
-Collaborate with building team to promote student achievement and equity
-Effectively manage and maintain daily classroom behaviors
-Understand and implement effective instructional strategies specifically aligned to math
Skills Required:
-Ability to evaluate and interpret data in order to make instructional decisions
-Ability to implement effective and equitable classroom management strategies
-Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members
-Ability to effectively instruct an ethnically diverse population of learner
This position to start with the 2021-22 school year.
