Requirements
Certification:
- Bachelor's of Arts, Math 5-12, Middle School Math 5-8, Math K-8
Skills:
- Proven experience increasing student achievement for all learners (general education, special education, ELP, ELL)
- Experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs preferred
- Ability to differentiate instruction; ability to collaborate with colleagues on lesson plans and data analysis
- Ability to model and support effective reading and writing strategies
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to implement PBIS with fidelity
- Positive attitude and a willingness to seek solutions to problems that arise
- Ability to work effectively/cooperatively/respectfully with staff/parents/community members regardless of status, and demonstrate conflict resolution skills.
- Effectively participate in professional learning communities and collaborative grade-level team
- Collaborate with building team to promote student achievement and equity
- Effectively manage and maintain daily classroom behaviors
- Understand and implement effective instructional strategies specifically aligned to math
This position to start with the 2021-22 school year.
